Mark Coleman

Obituary

Memorial Graveside Funeral services for Mark Bryce Coleman, age 51, formerly of Atkinson will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday July 29, 2017 at the Bassett Memorial Park Cemetery in Bassett, NE.  Friends of Mark and the Coleman family are invited to a luncheon in memory of Mark at that Flat Iron Restaurant in Atkinson from 12 noon until 2 pm. Please join them.

Mark was born at Atkinson Memorial Hospital on January 7, 1966 to the proud parents of Maynard and MaryBeth Coleman. Mark graduated from West Holt High School and moved to Omaha where he attended Nancy Bounds School of Modeling and pursue the dreams of his early career.

In 1993, Mark moved to Orlando where his mom, Marybeth and brother’s Craig and Jim also lived. In 1996 he was hired as a flight attendant and later promoted to Instructor/Trainer for Air Tran Airlines where he received multiple accolades from passengers and management for his work ethic and unmatched customer service. Due to a car accident he had to retire from the airlines. He obtained advanced training at the University of Central Florida in Information Technology. His last position was Property Manager at Bentley Park Estates located in Bay Hill, Florida, where once again his flair for customer service and attention to detail earned him the respect of all who encountered him.

Mark was known for his sharp wit, deprecating humor, love of family and friends and devotion to his mother, MaryBeth. His compassion, care and companionship to MaryBeth exemplified the best any son could give to his parent.

Mark is survived by his brothers Jim (Orlando) and Jeff (Omaha) as well as sister-in-laws Elizabeth and Kris along with his 7 nieces and 2 nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Maynard, brother, Craig and mother, MaryBeth.

Mark will be sorely missed by all those who knew him. The family wishes to extend many thanks and gratitude for those who supported Mark in life and those who mourn his passing.

In lieu of flowers, Mark’s family kindly requests memorials be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Heart felt sorrow for your loss. Only knew you boys as little tykes, while you played with my little ones and your Mom and I tried to have a visit. Cherished that friendship for all times . Your losses have been heavy, for your family. Prayers to all.
